In addition, it is stated with each sleeping bag which season it is suitable for. This way you can make your choice even easier.
Your child must be nice and warm. But too hot is not good either. Choose a combination of clothing and bed linen with a maximum TOG value that matches the room temperature.

The ideal TOG value
First of all, it is important to ensure a constant room temperature of between 16 and 20 ° C. This graph shows at what temperature you what TOG value you may use up!
The guideline is as follows: at an average room temperature of 16 -20 ° C, a TOG value of 2.5 to max 3.0 TOG must be maintained. By making a simple addition based on the above table you can check whether your child is dressed too warm or too cold.
At Lodger we have our materials tested for their TOG values. The Hopper Sleeveless has a TOG value of 0.5. This means that it can be used well at a room temperature between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius. The Lodger sleeping bag has a TOG value of 2.5. This means that it can be used well at a room temperature between 13 and 18 degrees Celsius.
You can increase the TOG value by putting your child on a long-sleeved romper or pajamas under the Hopper or by using a blanket such as Lodger's Dreamer.
Note: It is important to keep checking comfort on the neck and feet. The skin should not feel clammy or cold. The above values are based on babies who can keep themselves warm. Every child is different so pay attention to the heat regulation of your child. In addition, always ensure that the bed is made up in accordance with the guidelines that apply to safe sleeping. Always check in the neck of your child if it feels too cold or too warm, the above table remains a guideline.
